Hadith No. 1

عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْإِسْلَامُ قَالَ: إَنْ تَشْدَ َنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, وَتُقِيمَ الصَّلَةَ, وَتُؤِيَ الزَّكَةَ, وَتَصومَ رَمَضَانَ, وَتَحُجَّ الْبَيتَ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا (وهو جزء من الحديث,رواه مسلم


It is narrated from Hazrat Umar (RA) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, The pillars of Islam are that you bear witness (with your heart and mouth) that there is no god but Allah (no being worthy of worship) and that , Muhammad (ﷺ) is his Messenger. And perform Salah, pay Zakat, fast Ramadan and if you are able to perform Hajj, perform Hajj.

Hadith No. 2

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ, عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, saying: Alْإِسلَامُ أَنْ تَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ لَا تُشرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا, وَتُقِيمَ الصَّلَةَ, وَتُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَةَ, وَتَصُومَ رَمَضَانَ, وَتَحُجَّ الْبَيْتَ, وَالْأَمْرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ, وَالنَّهْيُ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ, وَتَسْلِيمُكَ عَلَى أَهْلِكَ, فَمَنِ انْتَقَصَ شَيْئًا مِنْهُنَّ فَهُوَسَهْمٌ مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ يَدَعُهُ, وَمَنْ تَرَكَهُنَّ كُلَّهُنَّ فَقَدْ وَلَّى الْإِسْلَامَ ظَهْرَهُ (رواه الحاكم في المستدرك


It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, Islam is that you worship Allah and do not associate anyone with Him. Establish prayer, pay zakat, fast Ramadan, perform Hajj, enjoin good deeds, forbid evil deeds, and greet your family members. Whoever errs in any of these matters is leaving a part of Islam. And whoever abandons all these has turned away from Islam.

Hadith No. 3

عَنْ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنِ الَّنِىِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِىْ سُوَالِ جِبْرَائِيْيْلَ اِيَّاهُ عَنِ الْاِسلامِ فَقَالَ: الإِسلامُ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلَا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ , وَأَنْ تُقِيمَ الصَّلَةَ , وَتُؤِيَ الزَّكَةَ , وَتَحُجَّ البَىْتَ AND ? قَالَ : نَعَمْ قَالَ : صَدَقْتَ .(رواه عبن خزیمة


Hazrat Abdullah ibn Umar Radiyallahu Anhuma (عبْد الله بْن عمر رضى الله عنْحما) narrates that Jibraeel A'laihis salam (appearing in the guise of a stranger) asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about Islam. He (replied) said, Islam is that you bear witness (with your heart and mouth) that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad (ﷺ) is the Messenger of Allah, perform prayer, pay Zakat, perform Hajj and Umrah. Do, bathe, perform ablution and fast in Ramadan to be purified from Janabat. Hazrat Jibraeel (peace be upon him) asked if I do all these deeds, will I become a Muslim? Ershad said, yes. Hazrat Jibraeel (peace be upon him) said, You have spoken the truth.

Hadith No. 4

عَنْ قُرَّةَ ْبِن دَعْمُوْصٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : أَلْفَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه و سلم فِيْ حِجَّةِ الْوِدَاعِ فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ! مَا تَعْهَدُ إِلَيْنَا قَالَ : أَعْهَدُ إِلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تُقِيْمُوْا الصَّلَةَ وَ تُؤُوْا الَّّزكَة وَ تَحُجُّوْا الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ وَ تَصُوْمُوْا رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ فِيْهِ لَيْلَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ وَ تُحَرِّمُوْا دَمُ الْمُسْلِمِ وَ مَالَهُ وَ الْمُعَاهَدَ إِلَّ بِحَقِّهِ وَ تَعْتَصِمُوْا بِاللهِ وَ الَّتعَةِ (رواه البيهقى في شعب الايمان


Hadhrat Qurrah ibn Damus Radiyallahu Anhu (قرّة بْن دعْموْصٍ رضى الله عنْه) narrated that we met the Prophet (ﷺ) during the farewell Hajj. We asked, O Messenger of Allah, what are you commanding us? He said, I command you to establish prayer, pay zakat, perform Hajj to Baitullah and fast in the month of Ramadan. There is one night in this month which is better than a thousand months. Killing any Muslim and hostage (i.e. with whom the Muslims have entered into any kind of agreement) and their property shall be considered haram for oneself. Of course, if he commits a crime, he will be punished according to the command of Allah Ta'ala. I further command you that you hold fast to Allah Ta'ala and His obedience. (In other words, regardless of Gairullah's approval or disapproval, be diligent in the work of religion.)

Hadith No. 5


On the authority of Aisha (RA), she said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for Hajj. When we reached a place called Sarif, I got my period. At that time the Prophet (ﷺ) came and saw me crying and asked: Why are you crying? I said: By Allah! It is preferable for me not to perform Hajj (Hajj) this year. He said: Perhaps you have menstruated. I said, 'Yes'. He said: This is what Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. Do all the things like other Hajis until you become pure, except do Tawaf of the Kaaba.

Hadith No. 6


On the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: We left (Madinah) for the purpose of Hajj. After reaching the place called 'Sharif' I got my period. Rasulullah (ﷺ) came and saw me crying; And said: What happened to you? Did you get your period? I said yes. He said: This is what Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. So do all the rest of Hajj except Tawaf of Baytullah. Aisha (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sacrificed a cow on behalf of his wives.

Hadith No. 7


On the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: I still see the Prophet (ﷺ) in his state of Ihram with the brightness of Khushboo on his seat.

Hadith No. 8


On the authority of Muhammad Ibn Muntashir (RA) on the authority of his father, I asked Aisha (RA) and mentioned the saying of 'Abdullah Ibn 'Umar (RA), "I do not like wearing Ihram in such a state that in the morning my body Happiness spread.” 'A'ishah (RA) said: I perfumed the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), then he joined his wives in succession and dawn broke in his state of Ihram.

Hadith No. 9


On the authority of Muhammad ibn Muntashir (RA) on the authority of his father, who said: I mentioned to 'Aisha (RA) the saying of [Abdullah Ibn 'Umar (RA)]*. He said: May Allah have mercy on Abu 'Abdur Rahman. I used to anoint the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and then he would join his wives. Then in the early morning he used to put on Ihram in such a state that the smell would spread from his body.

Hadith No. 10

أَنّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلّمَ حَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ فِي حَجّةِ الوَدَاعِ.


Hazrat Ibn Umar RA. Narrated by, he said - The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) shaved his head on the day of Farewell Hajj.

Hadith No. 11

أَنّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلّمَ حَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ فِي حَجّةِ الوَدَاعِ.


Hazrat Ibn Umar RA. Narrated by, he said - The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) shaved his head on the day of Farewell Hajj.

Hadith number 12

عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ, عَنْ جَدّتِهِ, أَنّهَا سَمِعَتِ النّبِيّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلّمَ فِي حَجّةِ الْوَدَعِ دَعَا لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ ثَلَاثًا, وَلِلْمُقَصِّرِينَ مَرّةً.


Yahya Ibn Hussain narrated on the authority of his grandmother that he saw on the day of farewell Hajj that the Prophet (ﷺ) made dua three times for those who shaved their heads. And once for those with short hair.

Hadith No. 13

حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ النَّاقِدُ, حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ أَبُو النَّضْرِ, حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ, عَنْ ثَابِتٍ, عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ, قَالَ نُهِينَا َنْ نَسْآَلَ, رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ شَىٍْ فَكَانَ يُعْجِبُنَا أَن يَجِيِ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ الْعَاقِلُ فَيَسْأَلَهُ وَنَحْنُ نَسْمَعُ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَتَانَا رَسُولُكَ فَزَعَمَ لَنَا أَنَّكَ تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَرْسَلَكَ قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ الأَرْضَ قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ نَصَبَ هَذِهِ الْجِبَالَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا مَا جَعَلَ . قَالَ " اللَّهُ ". قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ وَخَلَقَ الأَرْضَ وَنَصَبَ هَذِهِ الْجِبَالَ عللَّهُ أَرْسَلَكَ قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ فِي يَوْمِنَا وَلَيْلَتِنَا . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ عللَّهُ أَمْرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا زَكَةً فِي أَمْوَالِنَا . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ عللَّهُ أَمْرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا صَومَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فِي سَنَتِنَا . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا حَجَّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَعاَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلاً . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ ثُمَّ وَلَّى . قَالَ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَ أَزِيدُ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَلَاَ أَنْقُصُ مِنْهُنَّ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَئِنْ صَدَقَ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ " .


10. Narrated Amr Ibn Muhammad Ibn Bukhair Al Naqid (RA) ... on the authority of Anas Ibn Malik (RA). Anas Ibn Malik (RA) said, We were forbidden to ask Rasulullah (ﷺ) about anything. So we wanted some intelligent person from the village to come and ask him a question and we would listen to it. Then one day a person came from the village and said to Rasulullah (ﷺ), O Muhammad! Your Messenger came to us and said, You claim that Allah has sent you as a Messenger. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: He said the truth. The stranger said, who created the sky? He said: Allah. The stranger said, who created the land? The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah. The stranger said, Who set up these mountains and who created everything in them? Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: Allah. The stranger said, I swear to that being! Who created the heavens and the earth and established these mountains. God sent you as a messenger? Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: Yes. The stranger said, Your Messenger says that five times Salat (prayer/prayer) is obligatory upon us during the day and night. Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: He has said the truth. The stranger said, By Him who sent you as a Messenger, did Allah instruct you to do this? Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: Yes. The stranger said, Your messenger says that it is obligatory upon us to pay zakat on our goods. Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: You are right. The stranger said, By Him who sent you as a Messenger, did Allah order you to do this? Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: Yes. The stranger said, Your messenger says that it is obligatory upon us to observe the fast of the month of Ramadan every year. Rasulullah (ﷺ) said, He has said the truth. The stranger said, By Him who sent you as a Messenger, did Allah instruct you to do this? Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: Yes. The stranger said, Your Messenger says that Hajj (Hajj) is obligatory on whoever among us is able to go to Baitullah. Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: He has said the truth. Rabi says that, then the visitor said as he left, By Him who sent you with the truth, I will not do more than this and I will not do less than that. Hearing this, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If the man is telling the truth, he will surely go to Paradise."

Hadith No. 14

- عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الأَشْجَعِيِّ, عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ, عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ, عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " بُنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةََ عَلَى أَنْ يُوَحَّدَ اللَّهُ وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَةِ وَصِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ وَالْحَجِّ . لا .


19. Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Nu'mayr al-Hamdani (RA) narrates from ... Ibn Umar (RA). The Prophet (ﷺ) said, the foundation of Islam is based on five things. Believing in one God, establishing Salat (prayer/prayer), giving Zakat, fasting in Ramadan and performing Hajj (Hajj). A person (changing this order) said, performing Hajj and observing the fast of Ramadan. Rabi said, "I have heard from Rasoolullah (ﷺ) that observing the fast of Ramadan and performing Hajj is like this."

Hadith No. 15

and سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ السُّلَمِيُّ, عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ, عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " بُنِيَ الإِسْسلامُ عَلى خَمْسٍ عَلَى أَنْ يُعْدَ اللَّهُ "


20. Sahl Ibn Uthman Al Askari (RA) narrated from Ibn Umar (RA). The Prophet (ﷺ) said, Islam is founded on five things. Worshiping Allah and denying others besides Him, establishing prayer, paying Zakat, performing Hajj to Baytullah and observing the fast of Ramadan.

Hadith No. 16

- عَنْ أَبِيهِ, قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " بُنِيَ الإِسلامُ عَلى خَمْسٍ شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَ إِلَهَ إِلَّ اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدِ "


21. Ubaidullah ibn Mu'adh (RA) narrated from Ibn Umar (RA). Rasulullah (ﷺ) said, Islam is founded on five things, there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is his servant and messenger, establishing prayer, giving zakat, performing Hajj to Baitullah and observing the fast of Ramadan.

Hadith No. 17

and رَجُلاً, قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَلاَ تَغْزُو فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِنَّ الإِسلامَ بُنِيَ عَلى خَمْسٍ شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَةِ وَصِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ " .


22. Ibn Numayr (RA) narrates from Taws (RA) that a man asked Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA), why are you not participating in the war? Ibn Umar (RA) said, I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, Islam is founded on five things, bearing witness that there is no god but Allah, establishing prayer, giving Zakat, observing the fast of Ramadan and performing Hajj to Baytullah.
